Madrid can also be told through women's names. In just under three kilometres you go from the square where women's suffrage was approved in 1931 to the convent founded by a princess who governed Spain. Along the way: the street of the first woman to attend university, the square named after a nurse and the statue of a writer paid for by women from two continents. Stories with dates, sources and streets.
